Priyanka Chopra has left Shahid Kapur not in real but she has left him all alone to perform in the ‘Kaminey’ number in which she is the lead heroine at IIFA. Priyanka was supposed to groove with Shahid Kapur at IIFA 2009 but she stepped back. There are varied reasons from various sources regarding Priyanka’s showdown.
Director of Wizkraft Viraf Sarkari said, “Priyanka and Shahid both had never confirmed that they will be performing together. It was always Shahid who had confirmed his act so there is nothing more than what meets the eye here.”
Priyanka’s manager Natasha clarified, "Priyanka had not planned to perform with Shahid and there were no rehearsals that had happened. Priyanka is in Singapore busy shooting for Yash Raj’s ‘Pyaar Impossible’ for the past few weeks. She will thus attend the IIFA in Bangkok but will not perform”.
So, the final decision is that Shahid will in single groove to the song, ‘Dhan Taanaa’ from Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Kaminey’.
Shahid and Priyanka till date did not speak their relationship in public. We speculate whether Priyanka’s last minute stepping down from the show is not to keep away from the public glare.
