Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has acted with almost all the big actors in Bollywood, and she is no doubt one of the top actresses in Bollywood today with many hits in her kitty. But she still has a dream unfulfilled – to act with Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan.

Katrina said that she wishes to three dream roles – a period film, a romantic-tragedy like Devdas and an action film like Salt and Charlie’s Angels. And guess who she wants to act with in her dream roles? She said that she wants to act with Aamir. She added that she loves his performance especially in Ghajini.

Well, Katrina is currently awaiting the release of her latest film Tees Maar Khan, which is slated for release this Christmas, December 24. She acts with Akshay Kumar in this film directed by Farah Khan.

The famous bollywod star Aamir Khan, who was invited to the dinner by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his 7, Race Course Road residence, was cornered

by the waiting media persons as soon as the do got over at around 10 pm on Sunday.

"President Obama said he has heard a lot about my work and my films," said Aamir, who was clad in a cream coloured kurta pyjama.

"It (the dinner) was an opportunity to meet big personalities. I am a big fan of Manmohan-ji and I am happy that he called me up," he told the journalists.

Aamir, 45, also praised the dinner platter and revealed that First Lady Michelle Obama had told him she danced to his title number from Rang De Basanti.

Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar and his actress-activist wife Shabana Azmi were also invited to the grand feast.

Aamir Khan’s "Peepli Live", depicting the growing rural-urban divide in India, has been selected as India’s official entry to next year’s Oscars in the Best Foreign Film category.
"’Peepli Live’ has been selected as India’s official entry for the Oscars out of 27 films," Supran Sen, secretary general of the Film Federation of India, told PTI. Directed by debutant Anusha Rizvi, the film stars theatre actors and was shot in a small village in Madhya Pradesh.
The film also takes pot shots at the media and the political system in the country. This is third time lucky for Aamir Khan Production as the actor”s previous films "Lagaan" (2001) and "Taare Zameen Par" (2007) were also selected to represent India at the Academy awards.
"Laagan", which saw Aamir playing a farmer in British Raj, was shortlisted in a category of five but lost to Bosnian war film "No Man”s Land".

Aamir Khan the perfectionist, has give a green signal to Salman’s much awaited film Dabangg. Aamir is one person, whose opinion everyone in the film industry, and outside it as well, values.

Aamir was bowled by Sallu’s performance in the film. Talking to the reporters, Aamir said,

“Salman ka kaam bahut umda (terrific) hai. Jo style unhonay pakdi hai, bahut hi kamaal ka kaam kiya hai. Action bahut hi kamaal hai! (Salman has done a terrific job. How he’s brought out the style in his character, he’s done a great job. Action is also very good),”

Aamir also liked newbie Sonakshi Sinha’s performance. He tagged her with the name ‘the find of the year’., which is indeed a great compliment.

The distant dream of seeing the two reigning superstars of Bollywood (for almost two decades now), Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan together on-screen may soon get accomplished. As our prolific and visionary filmmaker, Karan Johar has expressed the desire to the cast the duo in his film (in near future).
Lately at the music launch of Aamir Khan’s much touted film PEEPLI [LIVE], KJo, who was there to grace the event, revealed, "Aamir Khan is a very good actor. I would love to do a film with Shahrukh Khan and him."
Aamir Khan was also positive on doing a film with Karan Johar.
"Why not? I think Karan is a very talented director. I would love to work with him. If there is a good story for me and if Karan also feels that I fit the role, I will do it," said the perfectionist.
It can be recalled that the Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan have come together on screen only once in Ashutosh Gowariker’s directorial debut, PEHLA NASHA. But those were merely cameos.
Now that it comes from someone like Karan Johar, you can bet that they aren’t just words and the project will materialize. Let’s hope that it happens soon.

Aamir Khan won’t celebrate his 45th birthday Sunday.

“I will not be celebrating my birthday this year,” Aamir told IANS over e-mail from Mumbai.

Media reports said the actor will fly to the capital Sunday to rub shoulders with acclaimed Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron and to discuss the future of cinema.

“Yes, I am going to be in Delhi for (a) conclave where I would be meeting Cameron,” said the actor.

Aamir did not say why he won’t celebrate his birthday. But a source close to him said: “He in any case doesn’t believe in parties and celebrations for his birthday. Moreover, with his dad (noted filmmaker Tahir Hussain) passing away last month, he is keeping a very low profile.”

Incidentally, his colleague Shah Rukh Khan has teamed up with international rapper Akon in Mumbai to record a song.

With cinema in his blood, perfection in his attitude and known as the king of promotional strategies, Aamir managed to deliver several super hits since his first success “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” (1988).

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan did not attend the 55th Filmfare Awards function on Saturday night (he prefers to keep away from film awards) but his film 3 Idiots swept the event by bagging six awards.

Besides being adjusted the best film, awards like best director, Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male), Best Story, Best Screenplay and Best Dialogue went to 3 Idiots.

Rajkumar Hirani was adjusted the best director, Boman Irani received the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) award, Abhijat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani were awarded for the best story, Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat Joshi were awarded for the Best Screenplay while Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra bagged award for the dialogue in 3 Idiots.
Meanwhile, it was Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan, who took away the top honours. They were awarded the best actor and best actress honours for the superb performance in their film Paa.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who had quit a government appointed panel to examine proposed ammendments to the Copyright Act, Friday withdrew his resignation.

In a letter to Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal, Aamir said: “Sir, I have given a lot of thought to your request to take back my resignation. I have also read the letter forwarded by other members reposing faith on my integrity… I am withdrawing my resignation.”

“The initiative taken by you (Sibal) is very important. It is a welcome step by you and your ministry,” a HRD ministry official quoted Aamir as saying.

Aamir had Wednesday resigned from the 10-member committee following reported differences with committee member and lyricist Javed Akhtar.

The actor had said that his fellow members had attempted to attack him in public “by printing lies” about him “thereby turning the attention away from a genuine debate about copyright issues”.

Bollywood film 3 Idiots has broken box office records in India and globally, taking more than £43m worldwide since its 24 December release.

It has broken records for Indian films in the US, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Fiji and Kenya.

Cinemas in Indian have added extra showings of the film.

Leading Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, 44, who stars as a student who mysteriously disappears, said he was “so happy” with the film’s success.

Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said: “I am thrilled and humbled that so many people all over the world have loved this film.”

The film, which was released at the end of a year of disappointing ticket sales for Bollywood, has been watched by more than 60 million people.
