Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says Shah Rukh Khan left him in a jovial mood after the latter called him to confirm his presence at the premiere of upcoming film “Paa”.
“Shah Rukh has remained with me in the late afternoon. He is a very funny man and shakes me into joviality when I inform him about the premiere and his absolute presence there. He tells me, ‘He is already there, black suited and with anticipation of seeing ‘Paa’,” Amitabh posted on bigb.bigadda.com.
“Aamir too communicates today and confirms his presence,” he added.
The cast and crew of “Paa” – including Amitabh, Abhishek and director R. Balakrishnan have major plans for the film’s premiere Dec 3 in Mumbai.
Amitabh plays a 12-year-old progeria patient in “Paa” and he had to stick on several pieces of specially crafted clay to get the right look for the movie. The disease causes premature ageing among children.
International make-up artist Stephan Dupuis designed Big B’s look and the megastar had to sit for five-six hours for the make-up.
The 67-year-old says he is now anxious about how the audience and critics will react to the film.
“Slowly but surely the jig saw puzzle will begin to unfold. The test of all our hours and hours of effort at the film shall now be up for scrutiny. And within two hours and 14 minutes the verdict shall be passed. Once passed, shall remain passed. Such is the destiny of those that participate in this wondrous game of filmmaking,” he said.

Well that’s what Amitabh’s onscreen father,Abhishek in Paa has to say about his 13-year-old kid.
Abhishek says, “Amitabh was a very troublesome child all through the film.”
There’s also a scene in the movie where Abhishek gives a piggyback ride to Big B.
Director Balki says, “Abhishek did it in one take. He carried his father effortlessly across the vast field. We shot the sequence near Cambridge in England at a place called Bury St Edmunds.”
Big B also talks about the piggyback scene, he says, “Carrying me piggyback was Abhishek’s job. Jaya and I merely produced a strong boy! No, the most tedious part of playing the 12-year-old boy in Paa was the makeup. I had to sit still for 4-5 hours every morning without moving, eating or even drinking water. For a sunrise shot I had to be up from 11 am the previous night doing the makeup to be able to shoot on time the next morning.”
Paa will be hitting the theaters on 13th November. What is your verdict folks? Paa will be a hit or miss?

The third season of the realityshow "Bigg Boss 3", hosted by iconic film star Amitabh Bachchan, has landed in trouble with the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Monday sending a notice to Colors channel for "offending good taste" and for the use of vulgar language.
The channel has been asked to show cause for its actions within five days, failing which it will be taken off the air.
"It has been brought to the notice of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting that certain parts of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 3′ telecast and re-telecast on Colors channel offend against good taste and decency and are not suitable for unrestricted public exhibition," says the show-cause notice.
The notice says the language used by some participants is abusive and the show contains visuals which appear to be obscene and violative of the government’s programme code.
It also points out that recently in one of the visuals, one participant has been shown pulling down the shorts of another participant. "This has offended the sensibilities of many viewers," says the notice.
The ministry has asked Colors not to carry content on the show that "constitutes a violation of the programme code as enshrined in the Cable TV Networks (Regulation) Act 1995," failing which it will be taken off the air.
Recently, one of the participants in the show, actor-director Kamal R. Khan, was thrown out for violent behavior.
The reality show is based on the international show "Big Brother" in which 13 celebrities are locked in a house for 84 days and monitored round-the-clock by 40 cameras.

He has dabbled in acting, production, playback singing and also worked as a television host, but Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has no plans to direct a film.
“Direction is a very difficult and classified job, which I feel I am incapable of doing. Since I don’t possess the skills to make a film, I would not like to do it. I am happy doing the other things I have been doing,” Amitabh told reporters here.
He also refused to be dragged into the controversy relating to an FIR against him and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh in Kanpur. Amitabh said: “I have nothing to say and I am not concerned. Amar Singhji has already explained.”
The veteran actor, who is looking forward to two of his forthcoming films “Aladin” and “Paa”, also clarified that he is not working on any project centred on the Taj Mahal. “My forthcoming film ‘Johny Mastana’ does have a scene of the Taj Mahal,” he said.
The 67-year-old, who is the brand ambassador of Max New York Life Insurance, was here to launch the new insurance policy “Aukat Par Vijay”.
Asked when he would become a grandfather, Amitabh said: “It’s not in my hands.”
When quizzed about his love and hate relationship with the media, he said: “I feel that Indian media is very capable. I completely respect the media and I don’t have any problem with them. It’s just that since I have a medium today to express myself so whenever there is a correction to be made I do that through my blog,” he said.

Amitabh Bachchan has learnt to live with controversies. But India’s biggest star admits they sometimes get under his skin — and when that happens he says he takes care not to show his irritation, particularly before the media.
"For celebrities, when you create a controversy, it happens and even when you don’t create one, it still happens. Like if I sneeze, it can cause a controversy; if I don’t, then also it causes one," Bachchan told IANS in an exclusive interview.
"We (celebrities) have to live with that (controversies). I have accepted that controversies are bound to happen with me. I do get angry about it at times but we don’t let it show – not in front of the media at least," added the 66-year-old thespian who will soon be seen as host of the third season of the reality show "Bigg Boss" that features a bunch of celebrities locked into a house.
The subject of many controversies, big and small, Bachchan seems to often vent his ire in his blog, which he labels a "revelation".
The blog – www.bigb.bigadda.com – has become almost an obsession, says the star candidly.
"It (my blog) has been a great revelation. It’s a medium where I can talk to myself. It has now become almost like an obsession and it’s not so much because I want to express myself but the fact that I better express myself now there are hundreds of people who wait to read what I’m going to do, what I am thinking and then they comment on it," he said.
He added that he would be going back to update his blog as soon as the interviews with the media were over.
Bachchan, whose forthcoming projects include Sujoy Ghosh’s "Aladin", R. Balakrishna’s eagerly-awaited role-reversal drama "Paa" and Leena Yadav’s "Teen Patti", was in the capital for the launch of "Bigg Boss" that goes on the air Sunday.
"I had been getting offers from various channels. We had many advance talks with some of them but, for some reason, either I didn’t like it or they couldn’t conceptualise something for me. Then ‘Bigg Boss’ came along, so I said ‘yes’," said TV’s newest "pop philosopher".
Ask him how this whole concept of being a "pop philosopher" emerged, the actor said: "This word has been created by the channel and I am partially to blame for it. When we were in talks for the show, I kept asking Colors officials about what it is that may be different from what you have been doing.
"It intrigued me for very long as to why a human being behaves as he does, what’s it that instigates him to behave in a certain manner? I thought it would be interesting to know all that and it may interest the people who will watch the show."
Though Bachchan will be seen twice a week as the show host, he is not open to the idea of being locked in the "Bigg Boss" house.
"I would hate to be in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. How can you be cut off for three months without any newspapers and mobiles? With no knowledge of what time it is since there are no clocks?" he said in awe.
Apart from Big B hosting the show, the channel has also made changes in the selection format. This time, viewers were given a chance to vote for those whom they want to see in the "Bigg Boss" house.
Asked who he would personally like to see on the show and pat he responded: "Nobody. I don’t want anybody to go in there."

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will return to the small screen after a gap of four years to host the third season of Colors’ popular reality show “Bigg Boss”, a well-placed source confirmed Friday.
” ‘Bigg Boss’ is set to get bigger. And Amitabh Bachchan is going to take over as host from Shilpa Shetty, who hosted it last season,” the source told IANS.
The Indian version of the popular British reality show “Big Brother”, “Bigg Boss” will have celebrity contestants locked into a house under the surveillance of multiple cameras for a period of three months without any contact with the outside world.
Periodic eliminations will take place based on voting by housemates and the audiences.
The show is expected to go on air around December.
Big B, who had a super hit stint as the host of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” for two seasons, will be seen on the show on the days of the elimination.
The inaugural “Bigg Boss” show in 2006 had Arshad Warsi as the host.
