It’s raining films for Arshad Warsi this year. However, it has been a flurry of those films that have been stuck in the cans for years. A couple of weeks back it was KISSE PYAAR KAROON and in a few weeks from now, audience will witness yet another stuck film of his finally arriving on theaters. It is called EK SE BURE DO.

Launched 5 years back, the film sees Arshad Warsi in the lead along with Rajpal Yadav who plays the second lead in the film. A comedy, it stars Natassha in the lead whose last major release as a heroine was KOI AAP SA (2005). Ever since then she has appeared in only film, JUST MARRIED, and that too featured her only in a cameo. The other female lead of the film is Tusha who makes her debut with the film.

The film boasts of a heavy supporting cast comprising of actors like Govind Namdeo, Yashpal Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Vijay Raaz and Razzak Khan. In fact the biggest draw for the film could be well through an item number that has been picturised on aiming-at-being-an-item-girl Brinda Parekh whose claim to fame has been a short appearance in Madhur Bhandarkar’s CORPORATE.

Produced by Suresh Seth, EK SE BURE DO is a small time film directed by Tarique for whom this will be his first venture behind the camera. In a way, release of this film would be a relief for Arshad Warsi who has moved into A-grade films in the years gone by. With KISSE PYAAR KAROON and now EK SE BURE DO being finally out of his way, he would certainly be hoping that his other stuck films like JEETENGE HUM and ZAMAANAT are released soon as well.

Sanjay Dutt & Arshad Warsi are coming together again in a non-Munnabhai film entitled Johnny Johnny Yes Papa.

Interestingly Johnny Johnny will be directed by Rohit Shetty who has done the two Gol Maal films and Sunday with Ajay Devgan and has now shifted the hero-giri’s gear to Sanjay Dutt.But Shetty’s comic bent is far from spent.

Dutt’s company’s CEO Dharam Oberoi says, “Johnny Johnny Yes Papa is a funny idea.The idea of bringing Baba and Arshad together is definitely a dhamaka. As for the next Munnabhai film (Munnabhai Chale Amrika) it’s been shifted to the end of 2008 because Raju Hirani is busy with 3 Idiots”

Incidentally Sanjay Dutt had done a film with the name Johnny in it 30 years ago. It was called Johnny I Love You and it featured him opposite Rati Agnihotri. The two were linked together. Dutt will have no leading lady in Johnny Johhny Yes Papa.

Leena Yadav, who directed the dud Shabd with Sanjay Dutt and Aishwarya Rai, is trying to get her next Teen Patti kicked off. The film has been in news for one reason or the other but mainly in bad sense.

Earlier rumors said that Amitabh Bachchan had left the film then they reported that he had not. Then the news that Arshad Warsi was delaying the film due to date problems turned into the news that he had left the film altogether.

The latest buzz is that after many attempts to convince him, the makers have replaced Warsi with R. Madhavan. According to sources close to Yadav, the film will begin soon.
