While the whole world is talking about Archie’s upcoming marriage with Veronica and apart from Betty-Veronica there is someone else who equally loves Archie – its Asin.

Talking about Archie comics,she says, “I have been stuck on them since I was nine years old.”

Asin reveals that she is a big lover or Archie and has a big collection of Archie comic books and carries them along whenever she goes abroad.

The director of the much waited ‘London Dreams’, Vipul Shah has accomplished something that only a couple of filmmakers could possibly achieve. The director has received permission to shoot where the Hollywood venture, ‘The Da Vinci Code’ was originally shot, The Louvre Museum. The Louvre Museum is located in Paris, France and it is a very popular tourist attraction.

At the Louvre Museum, Salman and Asin shot a romantic song sequence in which Salman woos Asin!  The duo shot near a popular tourist attraction, the inverted glass pyramid. Nonetheless, the film cast and crew were not allowed anywhere near the precious and classy painting inside the museum. 

Bollywod Actress Asin, who is currently filming Vipul Shah’s musical bonanza ‘London Dreams’ alongside stars like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, admits to finding a few differences between Bollywood and Kollywood. First and foremost, the rising star believes that the South Indian industry displays a remarkable sense of punctuality. Pointing out that film units in the South start early and wrap up on schedule, Asin reveals that it is fashionable to be late to a Bollywood set. The starlet was also introduced to the concept of assistant directors whose main purpose was to monitor her presence on the set.

Though the entire ‘Ghajini‘ (with Aamir Khan) unit was from the South, ‘London Dreams’ has her working with a complete Bollywood unit. The actress reveals that when the cast and crew were shooting in London and Paris, they were given a bound script, shoot schedule, a detailed weather report, location map and reporting time. Also different is Mumbai’s crowd according to the actress. Calling them “cool”, the actress says she’s been enjoying her every moment in Bollywood.

If our sources are to be believed then Aamir’s Ghajini girl Asin is all set to become Shah Rukh Khan’s girl in the upcoming Yash Raj project.

Katrina Kaif was initially being considered for this project but the King Khan made a conscious decision of keeping away professionally from anything that’s related to Salman, Katrina’s name was dropped.
“But then there was also a problem having Asin in the film.” sources further reveal. “The Yash Raj project was to go on floors during 2009 but Asin was committed to do a Priyadarshan project co-starring Akshay Kumar.

In fact Akki himself had suggested her name and she had landed in a catch 22 situation as rejecting the Yash Raj project would mean taking on the biggest production house’s ire and refusing Akki’s film would mean hurting him. Since, Akki herself had suggested her name, Asin was not able to back out of it.

But then luck favoured the Southern beauty as recently Akshay announced his inability to shoot the Priyadarshan project in 2009 and allotted dates of March 2010.

Now her dates for 2009 end got free and she intimated Yash Raj about it. Now the buzz doing the rounds of industry circles is, Asin may be replaced from the Priyadarshan project with Katrina Kaif. Now that would make it a full circle if it happens so!

Asin Thottumkal, the southern sensation is surely making hay while the sun is still shining on her. After having been chosen recently as the brand ambassador for Fairever, the famous fairness cream, Asin has now been roped in by the retail major Future Group to endorse Big Bazaar.

Even though the official announcements are yet to be made about this deal, reliable sources claim have it that Asin will be sharing the spotlight with Indian cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the commercials that are yet to be shot.

Asin says she’s had great fun shooting for ‘London Dreams’. She calls it a one of a kind experience.

There were numerous pranks, rambling tongue twisters, mugging up of one liners and so on…

She says she has learnt some interesting new things and Salman and especially Ajay Devgan made it even more interesting.

She’s said, “Ajay used to come up with some funny one-liners and tongue twisters which I got to learn from him. It’s one of my best shooting experiences. But I am not in a position to judge but yes as costars I feel they all are fabulous to work with. Both are very different actors and different people.”

Ajay actually seems to have impressed the Southern dame quite a bit.

She’s added, “Everyone knows that Salman is very chilled out but for Ajay, I thought he is a very serious and reserved person. But he is a complete surprise package. He is a complete entertainment channel on the sets. Ajay is a prankster and I wasn’t aware of that. He actually tried playing a prank on me but it didn’t work so Ajay now has to think of something tougher.”

After coping up with somber Aamir Khan and his perfectionist ways, this sure would like a vacation for Asin. Not bad at all.

A man working for Ghajini star Asin has suddenly disappeared, and the family of the victim suspects that due to Asin abusive nature the man has gone missing.

Asin released a statement says, The concerned person N. Muthu Kumar has left my employment and we informed the police immediately. Other accusations are false.”

However the victim’s mother says, “I am worried as Asin’s father Joseph said that Kumar was sacked after he joined the Mumbai underworld several days ago. While my search in Mumbai was fruitless, the facts do not add up because Kumar told me over phone sometime back that he was likely to quit after the actress abused him over his physical handicap.”

However Chennai Police Commissioner says, “The issue is being blown out of proportion by a section of the press. The complaint has been forwarded to the appropriate authorities and there is nothing more to it.”

 

Seems like a former assistant of Bollywood Actress Asin has allegedly gone missing and his mother blamed Asin for the incident.

Muthukmaraswamy (23), who was employed with Asin in Chennai and left along with her to Mumbai more than a year ago when the actress moved to the metro to shoot for the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Ghajini’, has been missing for the past ten days, his mother Sudalaivadivu told PTI here today.

Though Swamy had initially expressed joy working with Asin, he later complained of being verbally abused by the actress, the manager’s mother alleged.

She said her son could not be contacted on his mobile phone and Asin’s father Joseph told her that Swamy had already quit his job and “joined an anti-social gang.” Police officials who are investigating the case said that Asin’s father had informed a local police station in Mumbai, as the rules mandate there, that Swamy had quit on Januray 21 and the salary amount had been settled.

After the super success of Ghajini, critics went gaga over ‘Ghajini’ girl Asin and said she will go places. And that’s exactly what the South Indian beauty is doing. The actress is aiming very big with the multi-lingual Walt Disney production, ‘19 Steps’ to be directed by Bharath Bala.

“The film is being produced by Walt Disney and a good portion will be shot in Kerala. Kamal Haasan plays an important role in the film which also has popular Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano. This is going to be made in Tamil, Japanese and English and would commence in the second half of this year,” Asin said.

“For 19 Steps, I am now soon going to learn martial arts because the storyline demands that,” added Asin. Written by veteran scriptwriter MT Vasudevan Nair, the film narrates the tale of a Samurai warrior trying to conquer the ancient Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu. Kamal Haasan plays the role of an Indian martial arts guru.

The South Indian actress made her debut in the Sathyan Anthikkad-directed Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001 at the age of 15. Since then, she has acted in both Tamil and Telegu films besides Ghajini.

Asin is now busy completing her second Bollywood film ‘London Dreams’ with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. Good going, gal!.
