Celina Jaitley’s strikingly unconventional looks manage to turn heads everywhere. She was recently spotted at the music launch of her upcoming movie sporting a totally new look. Her front bangs coupled with the heavily kohl-ed eyes drew glances everywhere. She has been receiving tons of compliments and some even say that she reminds them of American pop sensation Katy Perry.
Celina Jaitley is a one angry young woman. And she has every reason to be. For all those who came in late, Baba Ramdev commented on Celina saying, “These actresses know nothing about Bhartiya sanskriti. They stay away from their parents and have no morals. Unke partner har mahine badalte hai. Jiske pas jitna gyan hota hai woh itna hi sach janta hai. Inka apna hi marg hai bus usme hi chal rahe hai.”
And now Celina hits back at Baba saying “How we blindly follow these self proclaimed ‘yogi’s’ who take teaching yoga so seriously that the think they have become the mentors of society?” She has many points to lash out about as Baba Ramdev has made defamatory comments about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
According to Baba Ramdev, choosing an alternate sexuality is like a viral infection. Celina is very angry at how Baba Ramdev thinks she supports their cause because her character is loose and she is a person who changes her partner every month.
Celina is also angry because he has spoken about her morality and how she doesn’t know anything about Bharatiya sanskriti. She says, “He thinks that I don’t know anything about Bharatiya sanskriti ..having been a Bharatiya sundari and a Bharatiya military’s 5th generation daughter.”
Actress Celina Jaitley has known gays all through her life. Her first boyfriend, for instance, was a gay.
There’s a reason why Celina is taking up the gay cause so fervently, despite all the hate mails she’s getting from people. Many of her close friends have been gays. Her first brush with a homosexual was at the tender age of 16.
Baring her heart out to a news network, Celina revealed that she first fell in love with a handsome man when she was just 16. He was many years elder to her, but he confessed his love for her. But as the relationship progressed Celina noted something strange about him. He would always meet her publicly and would be furious if Celina met him when he was with his male friends. Celina confesses that gradually her relationship with him began to sour. He began to physically abuse her. She even suspected that he was seeing another woman.
Celina Jaitley says she agreed to pose in a two-piece bikini for a popular film glossy because she was inspired by international supermodel Kate Moss and not to show “how much one can bare”.
“I had seen this fabulous swimwear shoot of one of my favourite models, Kate Moss. I instantly knew that I had to do something on the same lines. I was really inspired and wanted to do a shoot which is quite beautiful and of course very sensuous, ” Celina, who posed in a bikini for Stardust, told.
“Oh definitely yes. I’m glad with the way I’ve been presented because not just have the pictures come out really beautiful, even styling wise they are different from the typical dolled-up way that so many of our actresses shoot, ” said Celina, who was last seen in the hit film “Golmaal Returns”.
This isn’t the first time that the name Kate Moss has occurred in reference to Celina. During her modelling days, quite a few members from the industry used to address her as “The Indian Kate Moss”.
Quite a few actresses like Minissha Lamba and Neetu Chandra have shed their inhibitions in front of the camera, especially for photo shoots for numerous fashion and film magazines.
Has Celina also resorted to skin show to enhance her portfolio?
“The only purpose of this shoot was beautiful pictures. That’s it and there is nothing else to it, ” she said.
So how far was the former Miss India willing to go during the bikini shoot?
“My intention was not to portray sexiness or how much can one bare. My intention was to portray the beauty of the ever-changing Indian woman, someone who is beautiful, more modern as well as more comfortable with her sexuality, ” she said.
Asked if she had got the desired impact, Celina said: “Well, the way response has been so far, I guess I have. My intention was to arouse the sensuousness with beauty and dignity and not vulgarity and I have pretty much managed to achieve that.”
A fortnight back, Celina Jaitley had a harrowing experience with the airport authorities in New Delhi during a security check for her flight to Mumbai.
While her iPod and Blackberry were damaged, the worst was yet to come as the cops who were apparently responsible for it were found smiling even as Celina was complaining against them. Hurt and disappointed, she spoke her mind out in full public view.
Her words did find listeners as CISF came into action and began an enquiry into the matter. This resulted in the highest placed authorities at CISF waking up to this fact and assuring Celina that all would be done to prevent such an incident from happening again.
Says a source close to Celina, "Mr. Bannerji, who is the Director General CISF, Delhi, has taken special action that this kind of thing doesn’t happen again.
In fact action has also been taken against the jawans present on the day of the incident. Even Mumbai has acted quickly on this matter with Mr. Sanjay Prakash, CISF Chief, Mumbai taking special measures.
When the biggest of the matters are swept under the carpet, it seems quite commendable that a quick action has been taken in such a small time period.
"This is what thrills me most. I really truly appreciate the measure taken and I thank Mr. Bannerji and Mr. Sanjay Prakash. They have apprised me about their plans going forward.
After interacting with them, I am sure that our security is under the leadership of ace officers. Kudos to them", says a visibly thrilled Celina who is happy that her point of view has been appreciated.
Apparently, there are also some radical changes that are being made in the training curriculum for CISF jawaans. Going forward there would be added emphasis on dealing with women, especially senior citizens.
"I have been told about this as well", says Celina hours before packing her bags for the shooting schedule of her next film, "I am glad that the people at the top have been responsive to the issue and at least tried to understand my grievance.
Of course, as I stated earlier as well, they are there for our own security so passengers too should do their bit and cooperate completely with them."
She is gladdened with all the media support that came her way in her fight against the issue, which resulted in quick turnaround time for issue resolution.
"As a citizen journalist I raised my voice and from there on media ensured that it reaches out to all the concerned stakeholders. I sincerely thank media for standing by me", concludes Celina.

But get this – word is the other star of the film might be Bond legend, Sean Connery! The flick is based on the classic, ‘Arabian Nights,’ and we hear Sean has been ropped in to play one of the parts! And while Sean hasn’t been confirmed yet, Celina’s already excited about the possibilites. Hope it all goes down as it’ll definitely be one for the books!
