Mumbai, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is blessed with a good figure, says she does not believe in being size zero as the Indian body type is not meant for it.

“Correct me if I am wrong, but I personally feel that the Indian body type is not cut out to be size zero. I am not size zero and I don’t believe in that either,” Deepika told IANS.

“I believe that it’s nice to be little full and have a nice shape,” she added.

The Bollywood actress was the show stopper for designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil’s show at the Lakme Fashion Week here Sunday.

According to Deepika, an actress gets a role for her performance and not the body type.

“In the (film) industry, body size doesn’t matter. What matters is how much an actor contributes through his performance and not his body size,” explained Deepika.

“It is important that every person should wear clothes that go with their body – the cut, the fabric make a lot of difference,” she added.

Deepika Padukone doesn’t have any mega New Year celebrations plans this time around. She wants to spend some quiet and peaceful time. Not the ‘lonesome tonight’ kinda moment. Don’t worry… the gal might be hurting, but the Dee we know, is one helluva high-spirited gal. She wants to ring in the New Year, with her family and a few close friends.

Love stories rarely ever tread a smooth path and the Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone relationship is no exception. The couple, who have been together for nearly two years, are currently going through what Ranbir describes as a “rough patch”.
Everyone expected sparks to fly between Ranbir and his Anjana Anjani co-star Priyanka Chopra when they were shooting recently in Bangkok. “But,” say sources, “Ranbir was too much into his own space to even notice his glamourous co-star. He spent most of his time, when not shooting, either at the gym or taking walks and visiting malls.” Obviously his heart was somewhere else.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who’s making news for her split with Ranbir Kapoor, is taking on more work to focus on her film career. Now, according to latest reports Deepika has signed a film opposite Imran Khan which will be produced by Kunal Kohli in association with Big Pictures.

The film will be directed by one of Kunal Kohli’s close associate and is expected to go on the floors by early next year. What is interesting is that despite the fact that Imran Khan is Ranbir’s best buddy, Deepika chose to do this film, making it clear that she does not wish to mix her personal and professional life.
With Deepika taking on more assignments by the day, looks like her professional life is becoming a new comfort zone for her.

Well that’s what Ranbir Kapoor’s father Rishi Kapoor has to say about his son’s association with actress Deepika Padukone.

Talking about his son Rishi proudly says, “He’s had only two releases, he has a long way to go yet. But what I’m happy about is that he’s very passionate about his work. You have to love what you do, and Ranbir is absolutely engrossed in what he does, passionate about his films, just like his grandfather and his father!”

On shifting the focus to Deepika relationship with Ranbir, Rishi says,“Absolutely normal, I think she’s one of Ranbir’s girlfriends, so what?”

Few days ago even Ranbir’s sister Ridhimma also voiced the same opinion as her dad about Deepika. Looks like the Kapoor family isn’t taking Deepika seriously

The Deepika Padukone-Kareena Kapoor war has just intensified even more now. According to sources, the duo were both present at the premiere screening of Love Aaj Kal in Delhi with Saif Ali Khan. However, supposedly Padukone chose to stay clear of Kapoor and instead indulged in much chatter with beau Ranbir Kapoor’s father Rishi Kapoor, who also is a part of the film.
However, Deepika who flew out of Delhi to London for an event associated with the film was quick to clarify that nothing of the sort happened at the premiere, "We were all in Delhi together, all of us … Saif, Kareena, Imtiaz, Giselle Monteiro, Rishiji and me. And we had so much fun. I don’t know where these stories of friction come from." She additionally went on to add that although she and the Kapoor clan, i.e. Rishi and Neetu, do not get to mingle as much as they’d like to, the do share warm vibes with one another. "It’s sad I didn’t have too many scenes with Rishiji during the shooting of Love Aaj Kal," she went on to say. Furthermore, she claimed that this was the most time she has spent with Rishi Kapoor ever. But also said, "And we have absolutely no problems getting along. It makes exciting copy to say we don’t get along. But that’s not the truth."

Deepika gets high and wild. Sounds weird, right? But you guys better believe this. Deepika Padukone, we hear, got actually got sloshed while shooting for a drunken song in Love Aaj Kal.In fact, she got so high that even Saif had problem in controlling her. “She was falling all over the place and while shooting for the scene, she slipped and fell down from the table too and inspite of that she was laughing non-stop. She actually got carried away,” reveals a unit member.

Deepika Padukone who is known for her style statement in real as well as in reel shocked her audience when she appeared very awful in an item number done in a Telugu film titled Love 4ever. Her hair styling and make-up was done in such an amateur manner that she looked very atrocious in the song.
Interestingly, days back her item number was reported to be one of its kinds and it was also said that Deepika was looking hot and sexy like never before. But the result appeared to be just opposite.
Deepika debuted with a Kannada film, ‘Aishwarya’ but this is her first item number in a south film. Deepika Padukone said that she had accepted the song as it is very crucial and the story moves forward with her song. Directed by Jayant, the film has two lead debutantes.
Deepika’s dance number has been choreographed by Ahmed Khan at a Hyderabad studio.

Days after confessing that she regrets making her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor public, an annoyed Deepika Padukone has now come out slamming the latest buzz doing rounds in the B-town.

Deepika has reportedly been blamed for talking over her cell with beau Ranbir on the sets of her films, and thereby not giving her 100 percent. Strongly reacting to such accusation, the actress said that she is not the kind who talks to boyfriends on the sets and thus allegations of her talking to Ranbir constantly on her cell are baseless.

Deepika also assured that she is always committed to her films and is a thorough professional when it comes to work. The actress also mentioned that Ranbir`s presence on the sets does not distract her.

While Katrina Kaif is busy praising Kareena Kapoor, newbie Deepika Padukone claims that no two actresses can be best friends.

Deepika says, “Of course. I don’t think two actresses can be best friends unless you have grown up together which again is rare. I have quite a few friends in the industry. They might not be my best friends, I may not have the same relationship with them the way I do with my childhood friends.

But there is always room for being cordial with each other and spend time together once in a while.”
