Two back-to-back flops and Harman Baweja seems to be creating insecurity even for his female co-stars! It is learnt that Genelia D’ Souza who stars opposite Harman in Anees Bazmee directed It’s My Life is trying her best to not have this film as her next release. She is wanting her Shahid Kapoor starrer Yahoo to come before It’s My Life.

Our source says, “Genelia D’Souza has had a bumper hit last year in Aamir Khan produced Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. But post that she has mostly been seen in TV commercials rather than feature films. She knows it well that the Shahid Kapoor film will create a bigger buzz and get her the publicity she needs, rather than a Harman starrer. And then of course Shahid Kapoor is also supposed to be sizzling hot property after Kaminey. That’s why Genelia is trying every trick in the book to delay It’s My Life.”

“She dily dallied allotting dates for the patchwork of It’s My Life and now she is not being co-operative for giving her dates for its dubbing. The matter seems to be going out of hand with Anees Bazmee apparently even threatening to get a professional dubbing artist dub instead of her if she doesn’t co-operate soon. But little does he know what her real reason is!” the source further adds.

Last heard, Genelia is said to have fallen sick! That means more wait for the It’s My Life makers.

Well, well. Look who is cosying up to former boyfriend Hurman Baweja. Last week, the cast and crew of the Priyanka Chopra-Hurman starrer What’s Your Raashee? witnessed something rather interesting. The actress, who recently broke up with Shahid Kapoor, was seen enjoying the company of her former lover Hurman Baweja in Khandala. The duo didn’t leave each other’s side at a party held after the shoot.

A source present at the party said, “Hurman and Priyanka were shooting for a song for What’s Your Raashee? in the outskirts of Mumbai. Only this rain song was left to be shot before officially wrapping up the film’s shoot schedule. After we packed up late in the night, we decided to have a party at a bungalow nearby in Khandala. Hurman and Priyanka too decided to attend the party.”

“While everyone had a great time, the most noticeable were Hurman and Priyanka. The two had eyes only for each other throughout the party, which went on for almost four hours. As Priyanka and Hurman sat there chatting and relaxing, everyone could see the sparks flying between them. The former lovers had a great time together,” added the source.

While Hurman admitted he attended the party, he refused to say anything more. Are you planning to get back together, guys? And is Shahid, well and truly in the past?

After their much-publicised breakup last year, Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra and Hurman Baweja met at a party recently but didn’t display any hard feelings, said a source who saw the two dancing together.The party was thrown by filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker last week to celebrate the completion of a 100-day shooting schedule of his romantic comedy What’s Your Rashee?, in which Priyanka and Hurman are playing the lead roles. “Hurman and Priyanka were together on the dance floor. Both of them greeted each other cordially. There was no awkwardness between them. In fact the duo, though at a distance, were enjoying dancing on the floor,” a source said.

Both actors, who made news with their breakup last year, danced along with Gowariker and his producer wife Sunita, and the foursome had a “good time together”. According to the source, Hurman and Priyanka walked in late for the party, but at different hours.”Hurman came in late and immediately hit the dance floor, joining the other cast and crew members of the film. Priyanka came in with her mother just before midnight.But by the time Priyanka began dancing, Hurman was busy mingling with other guests. And later the crew members dragged him to the dance floor,” the source added.Though Priyanka, who is playing 12 different roles in What’s Your Rashee?, left the party at 3.30 a.m., her Love Story 2050 co-star preferred to stay longer.

Incidentally, the party was held on the same day when Gowariker’s magnum opus Jodhaa Akbar completed 100 days of celebrations. Barring a song which is to be shot with Priyanka soon, the film, to be released on Sep 25, has been shot completely.”The party was a celebration of our magnificent journey. There’s a song that will be shot later in June because we require the terrain to be sparkingly green. Otherwise, we are done with What’s Your Rashee?” said Sunita.

It is believed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi has a new lead actor. Word on B-Town street is that Hurman Baweja has been replaced by John Abraham.

Hurman was signed for the film last year. But after Love Story 2050 and later, Victory tanked, the producers have had a rethink. Also in the current recession-rid market, it is important to have a saleable star. So after a meeting, Bhansali and Saregama’s Madhu Mantena, along with the distributors took the decision to cast John Abraham in the lead role.

The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan. This is the actor’s fourth film with Bachchan (Viruddh, Aetbaar and Babul). An insider adds, “Right now, the producers and director haven’t informed Hurman as yet. He’s in Delhi and so, no-one will confirm this right now. They are waiting for him to come back. Then, they will break the news to him.”

Bhansali states curtly, “It’s not true.” Mantena laughs off the development with, “Hurman is still there in the film. We will start Chenab Gandhi in May. It would be unfair to drop him now when his films are not doing well. I am doing another film with John called 1-800-Love; maybe the confusion begins there.”

Harman Baweja remained unavailable for comment. Saregama India is co-producing Chenab Gandhi with Bhansali. It will be directed by debutant Vibhu Puri. Chenab Gandhi is being made on a budget of Rs.35 crores).

Though Bollywood’s one time hottest couple Priyanka Chopra and Hurman Baweja’s love story met with its end before it could flourish and bloom further but the couple has maintained the same level of cordiality till date not only among themselves but their families as well.

If the buzz doing rounds is considered, it was Priyanka who had decided to call-off the relationship. But the pretty lass, despite of having separated has sustained good relations with Hurman and his parents (Harry Baweja & Pammi Baweja). And the same was evident when recently she launched her parents’ cosmetic-surgery clinic – Studio Aesthetique – in Mumbai. On this proud occasion many Bollywood biggies were present to show their support and congratulate her. Among them Hurman’s parents were also seen gracing the event with their presence. It seems it was Priyanka who personally invited them to join in the big day of her parents. Though Hurman’s parents attended the event but Hurman was missing from the scene.
