Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 has come to a close and we’re recapping all the beautiful collections displayed on the ramp during the final day. Day 5 showed us that Fall/Winter doesn’t have to be monochrome, grey, or dull. Designers created beautiful collections with pastels, metallic, deep colors, and even foliage! Anushree Reddy designed a collection of winter whites and delicate florals with Rana Daggubati and Amy Jackson walking the ramp for her. Aartivijay Gupta‘s quirky designs literally had vegetable prints, reminding us that you don’t just need to eat your veggies, but you can wear them too. And Arpita Mehta worked wonderfully with Gold to bring us the ‘Golden Hour’. Malaika Arora Khan was her showstopper.
Speaking of foliage, Kriti Sanon was the showstopper for Sonaakshi Raaj. She walked out in a shimmering number covered with beaded flower patterns in deep, gemstone hues. Shilpa Shetty walked the ramp for Divya Reddy who presented a colorful collection of ethnic-wear in rather muted tones. Vineet Rahul mixed and matched a bevy of prints with heavier textures for colder climates. Priyam Narayan created a wonderful use of corals, but kept it fall-ready with layering. Tarun Tahiliani‘s jaw-dropping ethnic, tribal collection also made the best of layering and had none other than the gorgeous Chitrangada Singh as his showstopper. Tanieya Khanuja and Manish Bansal played with textures, pullovers, and silhouettes. And menswear designer, Piyush Dedhia, gave us a semi-formal fusion!
Ridhi Mehra brought us evening-chic with her cocktail gowns and tunics with Esha Gupta as her showstopper. Vineet Rahul played with tassles and desi prints and graphics. Finally, Ileana D’Cruz walked the ramp in a long jacket and maxi skirt for Sangria. Tamannah Bhatia walked the ramp, once again, for Neeta Lulla‘s Lakmé Bridal show.
