Rohit Shetty is known for his family entertainers and high end action sequences and Shah Rukh Khan is popular for spreading love and happiness. The combo of these two had mesmerized the people in the past with the blockbuster ‘Chennai Express‘ (2013) and now this hit ‘Jodi’ has once again come on board with romantic-action-drama ‘Dilwale’. This film brings back the iconic on-screen pair of Shah Rukh and Kajol after 5 years. Let’s see whether this will recreate the magic of this couple among the fans.

A still from ‘Dilwale’

‘Dilwale’ is a story of a guy Raj (Shah Rukh) who lives in Goa with his brother Veer (Varun Dhawan). Raj is a very simple person who has worked as a car modifier. 15 years ago, due to some happenings, Raj had to leave Bulgaria and shifted to Goa. In Bulgaria, Raj loved Meera (Kajol) but they had to separate from each other because of some adverse situations. Now, after long time, Veer and his love affair (Kriti Sanon) help them to meet again but Meera now hates Raj. With lots of twists and turn, some other characters including Varun Sharma, Boman Irani and Johnny Lever creates humour in between this story. Now, whether Raj and Meera will unite again? Whether everything between them will all right? You have to watch the film.

‘Dilwale’ starcast

Rohit Shetty has once again proved that he is one of those directors who could make a complete package in a film. In between, he has got the support from Sajid-Farhad’s humour and the magic of Shah Rukh-Kajol’s chemistry. As usual like his earlier films, the extra dose of Rohit’s action sequences adds some more life to the film. The most promising thing about the film is the selection of some beautiful locations of Bulgaria and Iceland which is treat to watch for the audience. Rohit and his team has done their heart out to bring smile on your face but you have to leave your brain at home and just enjoy the film.

As expected, ‘Dilwale’ is revolving around Shah Rukh and Kajol who have given their best and their prolific performances do not leave any stone unturned to make this memorable. Shah Rukh has brilliantly performed his dual roles of lover and brother while Kajol maintains the decorum in between the good and bad phases of life. The fresh pair of Varun and Kriti has done a commendable job and the other supporting characters have tried their best to entertain you. Its music has also created the magic among the fans and the songs like ‘Gerua’ and ‘Janam Janam’ gave the extra added support to the story.

The only low end of the film is its story which is difficult to digest but then it’s a family entertainer of Rohit Shetty whose only motive is to induce you to go and enjoy your 3 hours in the theatre and once again he is successful in do so.

All n all ‘Dilwale’ is a good time pass which you could watch once to entertain. For Shah Rukh and Kajol’s lover, this is surely the wonderful treat from them to their fans. Go and Enjoy.

My rating to the film is 3 out of 5 stars.
