No, he didn’t immediately report to Vipul Shah’s sets of Action Replayy that he is making with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Instead, the Khiladi reported to the Vakola Police Station in Santacruz East, where an obscenity complaint had been registered against him for getting wife Twinkle to unbutton his jeans on the ramp during a Lakme Fashion Week show in March end. The action star, who has taken the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune like the macho man he is on screen, went into the police station unannounced and unnoticed.
The Vakola policemen, who are yet bemused by the incident and don’t quite know whether it amounts to obscenity, were astonished to see the Bollywood hero walking in. Akshay, who is apparently sick and tired of the controversy that followed him to South Africa and Singapore, wanted to clear it up as soon as he touched Mumbai.
