Bollywood actor Abhay Deol, the youngest of the Deol family, has worked in more than a dozen of films, is yet to get an opportunity to work with his legendary uncle Dharmendra. He is also yet to be seen with his star cousins Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

The actor has already spent five years in the industry but he is still waiting for a perfect script to work with his family members. Abhay was quoted saying that he is very keen to work with his brothers and uncle but it is very hard to get the right script for bringing them together.

Recently, the actor has started trying his hands in developing scripts and is expecting to write one to accommodate all of them. Abhay informed that he has penned down many synopses and treatments, which are required to be developed into scripts yet. The actor added that he thinks of the script and then fit the actors into them as feels it works out better.

However, Abhay said that he feels very nervous when he is in front of his uncle so acting as someone else, is something very tough for him. But still he is looking for a role, which he has never done before.

After the warm reception to his just released “De Dana Dan”, Priyadarshan plans to make a film on AIDS with Aamir Khan in a way that’s palatable to the public.

“And why not? Films are meant to generate a mass reaction. No point in making a film with one of the biggest stars of the country which only a handful of people want to watch,” Priyadarshan told IANS.

He wants to make films for the masses. Even if it’s about the construction mafia “Khatta Meetha” with Akshay Kumar and Trisha or the stigma attached to inter-caste marriages in a film with Ajay Devgn, Bipasha Basu and Akshaye Khanna, he will speak in the language of the common man.

“De Dana Dan” is a big hit even in Pakistan where it’s running to packed houses in a theatre with shows from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Priyan — as Priyadarshan is popularly known — says the romantic rain song with Akshay and Katrina which had been edited for reasons of length will be restored in the prints from Saturday.

“I’ve never made films for critics. I make my films, even my so-called artistic ones like ‘Kala Pani’ and ‘Kanchivaram’, for a mass audience. Today commercial success is more important for the survival of our film industry than ever before.

“Don’t critics want films to do well? Don’t they want the industry to make money so the movie business can get back on its feet? If audiences want to watch happy films who is going to stop them?”

Priyan says he’ll continue to make the films that connect with the audience.

“I’m a film buff. I understand world cinema. I know about Fellini, Ray and Godard. And Satyajit Ray is one of my favourite directors. But I also understand about the film market. We can’t make the films that audiences don’t come to see.”

Some of his hit movies include “Hera Pheri” (2000), “Garam Masala” (2005), “Bhagam Bhag” (2006) and “Bhool Bhulaiyya” (2007).

Yes Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was nervous before his ramp debut for Salman Khan’s “Being Human” show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week. He said he wanted to go back home.

“I was extremely nervous because I have never done it before. I am not used to doing all this. This is not my world. But I did it just for my friend Salman and to support the cause,” Aamir told reporters Tuesday after the show.

“When I was rehearsing, the show area was empty still I was nervous. I thought that when I’m nervous now, what will happen when I will walk the ramp in front of the audiences. And I thought I should go back home,” he added.

Before starting the walk, the actor stood on the ramp for a second, looked around, smiled at everyone, took a deep breath and very shyly started walking maintaining eye-contact with the audience and acknowledging their cheers.

Kunal Kapoor has been preparing hard for his role in Anurag Kashyap’s next Doga, which is based on comic book. Anurag has told Kunal to build his physique 50 times more than what he is currently and he has to do it in a limited time. Sources inform that, “Aamir Khan developed his physique for Ghajini in a quick time and it has impressed Kunal so much so that he has been taking special tips from him for the role. Doga is the alter-ego of an orphan Suraj, whom Daku Halkan Singh finds in a garbage dump as an infant. He is brought up by Daku Halkan Singh, but treated like a dog. While in Halkan’s care, Suraj witnesses endless horrors that ultimately led to his becoming Doga. To seek revenge, Suraj becomes Doga, and wears a dog mask to hide his identity. Emraan Hashmi was in a state of shock when he was not allowed to buy a house in Pali Hill, Mumbair because he is a Muslim.

Actor Shiney Ahuja’s judicial custody has been extended till 13 August. The actor was arrested on 15 June for allegedly raping his domestic maid.

Ahuja was produced before the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate via video conferencing from Arthur Road Jail, where he is currently being kept.

The DNA test report of Ahuja had confirmed that he sexually assaulted the victim. He has been charged under the Indian Penal Code Section 376 with rape, along with wrongful restraint and intimidation.

That’s what happened to a few women in Mumbai recently.
The Big B did his bit by giving a lift to a few women in his car to help them escape the Mumbai rains that have affected life in India’s financial capital.
The road outside Amitabh’s house, Prateeksha, was waist deep in water and entered his reception area.
When the actor decided to take a ride in his SUV (sports utility vehicle) to his second home, Jalsa, in Juhu, he found the women wading through the waterlogged street.
"I opened the door, well just about, to assist a few young ladies in distress, who were beginning to lose their composure, and gave them a ride towards Jalsa," Amitabh posted in a recent entry on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com .

At his Jalsa home, water leaked through into the bedrooms causing more distress to the actor.
"At Jalsa, the water in the bedrooms leaked through despite the tarpaulin protection monsoon covers. I told them (referring to his workers) to put towels, swabs, water resistant solutions, anything," he wrote.
The situation became so chaotic that the actor had to ask his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law, Aishwariya, who are in Singapore along with politician Amar Singh, to stay there for a while.

Hey Aamir Khan Fans.. Seems like Aamir is back to the Bollywood News Headlines with a social cause. Bollywood Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan will share dais with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at an interactive session on education at the St Xavier’s College on Saturday (18th July, 2009).

Sources in the US consulate said that Clinton, who is arriving on Friday, will deliver a speech on education and hold discussion on the subject with NGOs.

Bollywood Actor Aamir Jgab, who is associated with one of the NGOs, will also be present.

However, the Consulate did not divulge details about the NGOs attending the meeting citing security reasons.

Yesterday, authorities from the Consulate and the Maharashtra government visited the college as part of security drill.
