The basic plot of SRK’s ‘Ra.One’ has heavy influence of Rajnikanth’s ‘Robot’.
Coincidence or a planned strategy – Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One seems to be hugely influenced by Rajnikanth’s ‘Robot’. The similarity between the two films goes beyond the resemblance in appearance of robots ‘Chetti’ and ‘G.One’.
One look at the ‘Ra.One’ poster and you are instantly reminded of Rajnikanth’s ‘Robot’ but the latest is that just like Rajni, SRK too has a double role in this super hero flick. And hang on! The similarity goes a step further. Just like Rajni’s characters of a scientist and a robot, SRK too will play a scientist who creates robots ‘G.One’ and ‘Ra.One’.
SRK plays the good robot ‘G.One’ while Arjun Rampal will be seen as the bad guy ‘Ra.One’. Not just this, ‘Ra.One’ is portrayed as a robot that behaves like humans which is again a character of Rajni’s ‘Chetti’.

Salman Khan’s ‘Ready’ will clash with his one time love Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ when both the movies hit theaters. Though it was known that ‘Ready’ is going to complete soon but nobody imagined that ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ would also release simultaneously on May 27, 2011. Anyway, the two movies belong to two different genres, so the audiences’ interests won’t collide, hopefully. While ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ is a fun, youthful film with Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin, ‘Ready’ is a family entertainer with Asin as Salman’s co-star. In the same way, while Akhtars’ ‘zindagi…’ will hit multiplexes as it’s urban-oriented, ‘Ready’ is largely meant for masses, and will be exhibited on single screens.

Significantly, the issue isn’t between Salman and Katrina. In fact, it concerns Salman and Hrithik! You may recall Salman’s recent taunt that "not even a dog went to see ‘Guzaarish’. And, ‘Guzaarish’ is Salman starrer. After the debacles of ‘Kites’ and ‘Guzaarish’, Hrithik must have been looking forward to a solo release but unfortunately he is now up against ‘Dabangg’ Salman. The release date of Salman Khan’s action comedy ‘Ready’ has been decided — it will hit the screens May 27 next year.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film brings Salman and Asin Thottumkal together after box office dud ‘London Dreams’.

‘The schedule of ‘Ready’ is moving smoothly and it’s been great fun working with Salman. We share a great friendship and a fantastic working equation. It’s overwhelming to see his commitment towards the movie,’ producer Bhushan Kumar of T-series said in a statement.

‘He is a thorough professional and is always there with interesting inputs wherever need be…, he is like family.’

‘Ready’ also reunites Kumar with Salman after ‘Lucky – No Time For Love’ and the producer promises that the film will be a complete entertainer with a mix of action and comedy.

‘I was always looking for a script which has everything and I found that in ‘Ready’. The film has lots of humour, there are two-three action sequences which Salman fans will love, there are a lot of dramatic sequences, and we also have good scope for music. In short, it’s a total masala entertainer with proper story and screenplay,’ Kumar said.

The film has not come till now but it has been doing the rounds of the galleries of controversy. First there were media reports that said that there has been a split between Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, two of the closest Bollywood buddies.

It is about the movie ‘Tees Maar Khan’ that Farah has done with Akshay Kumar and not SRK. And then spat came a reply from Farah who said that media is just making up the whole issues and that everything is just fine.

And last but not the least came the latest development in which SRK has prevailed over Eros to release their film, ‘Toonpur ka Superhero’ on the same day as the release of Farah’s ‘Tees Marr khan’. Eros is the maker of the animated movie that has come up with a lot of appreciation in the markets and is expected to do well.

In a statement given to media, Farah said, "I don’t think there’s any truth to it". She also refused to accept that SRK is trying to bring out a movie that stands in competition to her own. She said that she could never believe that SRK would come down to such low levels.

Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi unveiled the first look of Dil To Bacha Hai Ji here over the weekend. Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Amisha Patel, Emraan Hashmi, Jiah Khan and Omi Vaidya. Bhandarkar said he had moved away from making serious cinema and that this time he has tried his hand at comedy.

“Dil To Bacha Hai Ji is a slice of life, a different cinema. My cinema has always been hard hitting and real. This is also real but comedy as well. The whole genre of this movie is comedy. This is a slice of life and everybody will relate to this subject,” said Bhandarkar.

Everyone is wondering why Ram Gopal Varma suddenly decided to move forward his Rakhth Charitra (RC) sequel from November 19 to December 3 after making a noise about taking on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish.

The official explanation is,RC2 was not ready on time. That according to a source is, pure hogwash.

The real reason why Ramu, the master of marketing manipulations has chosen December 3 is so that he could pitch his Vivek Oberoi starrer against Abhishek Bachchan’s prestigious historical release Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se.

Says the well-informed source, "Ramu likes to create an extra buzz around his films. When Phoonk 2 was released with Chance Pe Dance Ramu tried to pitch the crow in his horror film against Shahid.Abhishek and Vivek are seen to be at loggerheards . Ramu intends to play up their rivalry. Although both actors have worked repeatedly with Ramu the filmmaker is not averse to deliberately pitching them against one another."

Ramu feigns ignorance about his marketing manoeouvre. "The reason Rakht Charitra 2 was delayed is because the post-production took longer than we thought it would. I didn’t even know our film was coming on the same day as Abhishek’s.Not just that, both are based on true stories. Vivek and Abhishek play real- life characters in the two films.Having said that,let me also add that a lot of our marketing focus for RC2 would be on the Tamil superstar Suriya whom I regard as next only Rajinikanth in popularity. Since he’s making his Hindi debut we’re trying to figure out ways to bring him in front of the Hindi audiences."

This,according to the source,is exactly why Ramu has chosen to peg his sequel on the old Abhishek-Vivek rivalry. Says the source, "After the rejection of Rakht Charitra in the Northern belt Ramu can’t take a risk with the sequel .Suriya may be a superstar in the South. In Hindi even Rajnikanth doesn’t have a market.RC2 has no songs and items to promote. At most Suriya can do some interviews before its release. He can’t create an excitement around the film."
