Slumdog Millionaire" star Dev Patel says Frieda Pinto will be amazing as a Bond girl in the next installment of spy thriller.
"She is stunning. There have been rumours about her being a Bond girl on the next film. I would love her to get the role, she’d be amazing," dailystar.co.uk quoted Dev as saying.
"I’m not sure I could ever play 007 though. I’m too much of a wimp," he added.
Vidya Balan, who plays Amitabh Bachchan’s mother in “Paa”, was so impressed by Abhishek’s caring behaviour towards his father during the shooting that she confesses she would like to have a son like Abhishek in real life.
“I would prefer a son like Abhishek. I have seen him with his father on the sets… he was so nice to his father that I was touched,” Vidya told reporters here Saturday.
Director R. Balakrishnan’s “Paa” is an emotional story of a father-son relationship and Amitabh will be seen as Abhishek’s 13-year-old son Auro who is suffering from a rare disease progeria, that accelerates ageing. The film releases Dec 4.
“The film is all about Auro and all through the film there is a certain sensibility about Auro, but no sympathy is shown towards the 13-year-old progeric child in the film,” said Vidya.
When the director approached her for the role, she wasn’t sure about playing the mother of a progeric child. “Initially, I wondered how to do the role as I didn’t have that motherly instinct. But while working on the film I realised what motherhood is,” said Vidya.
Shetty became a household name overnight in Britain after she was racially abused live on television by the late Jade Goody.

The Bollywood star’s father Surendra Shetty revealed the couple’s wedding plans in an application for his passport to be returned to allow him to attend the event. It was confiscated after he was charged with threatening a business associate he claimed owed money to his daughter.
He is accused of sending gangsters to collect a debt from Sari manufacturer Pankaj Agarwal after his firm Praful Sarees failed to pay Ms Shetty for a modeling assignment when her Bollywood career was at a low point. In his application he told the court the wedding would take place between September and the end of December in Britain.
Mumbai Police on Thursday filed a charge sheet against Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja in a city court, accusing him of rape and wrongful confinement of his domestic help.
The 109-page charge sheet contains medical and forensic evidences, reports and witness statements, an official told IANS on condition of anonymity.
The 36-year-old actor was arrested on June 15 after his teenaged domestic help accused him of raping her.
She told police that the actor called her into his room saying that he needed water and then locked her in and raped her.
The actor will now continue to be in judicial custody till August 13 and is currently in the Arthur Road jail.
A Mumbai court had earlier rejected a bail application filed by Ahuja.

And then of course Shahid Kapoor is also supposed to be sizzling hot property after Kaminey. That’s why Genelia is trying every trick in the book to delay It’s My Life.”

Actor Imran Khan as a PR exercise to get support for his forthcoming movie “Luck”, slated to be released by the end of this month went to London (UK) to attend a press conference. This is appreciated by industry experts as a good move by ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na‘ fame star.
