Neha Dhupia has been around for more than six years now and has done films as diverse as “Mithya” and “Julie”. But she neither believes in boasting about her body of work nor is she keen to approach leading actors and filmmakers to rope her in for their films.
“This is the way I have been throughout my career. I am not the type who would go and tell everyone what I have done in the past,” Neha told IANS.
After having debuted opposite Ajay Devgn in “Qayamat” (2003), she has worked in close to 30 movies.
“What’s the point in doing that when you have your work to speak for itself? This is not to say that I am less ambitious than anyone. I work as hard as anyone else. It’s just that I can’t serve myself on a platter,” she said.

Former Miss India Neha Dhupia, who flashed a million dollar smile while sashaying down the ramp Sunday at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) for designer Kavita Bhartia, wonders why models don’t flash a smile during catwalk.
“I have always wondered why models always walk the ramp with a straight face. Why don’t they ever smile? Even during my modelling days, I used to wonder about it,” Neha said after the show.
“But then I guess, if beautiful models will start smiling, they will completely take the show away from the designer’s clothes,” she added.
Dressed in a black ruffled dress teamed up with a bust jacket-like top with metallic gold embellishments on it, Neha delivered a perfect catwalk sans any extra drama on the stage.
“I was very impressed with Kavita’s collection and I was eyeing this gold jacket when I came in. I didn’t know it was for me. I was really glad that she had planned that I will wear it,” said Neha.
The actress, who is awaiting the release of her film “De Dana Dan”, was not even a wee bit nervous before walking the ramp. “I was excited,” she said.

She made her debut as a sexy bombshell, but has lately shifted gears and is opting for meaningful cinema with colder-to-life characters. Now, she has paired opposite Vinay Pathak (a favorite in off-beat cinema) for the role of a back row dancer in her forthcoming film ‘Pappu Can’t Dance Saala’.
Neha did a thorough research on back dancers before embarking on the role. She met and interacted with them on a close level because she wanted to know the kind of lifestyle they had. She also opted for a red colored hair because she noticed that all those back dancers that she had met had that color. She also observed that most back row dancers had a habit of chewing gums while waiting for the shot on the sets. So, she adopted that style for her character too.
With so much of effort going in, we hope that the character comes to life and Neha comes back into limelight with a superhit.

Channel V launched India’s first ever live bollywood movie, Andaz Apna Very Hatke. The movie will be scripted, directed and produced by Channel V, and would release on the same date of its production. Neha Dhupia made the launch even more exciting by posing for the cameras in a red hot outfit.
I don’t know what Channel V is up to, but I’m sure that they would have a bunch of jobless (and talentless) actors in the movie. Probably they are planning to cast their super-irritating VJs, Lola Kutty and Juhi.
If you love Channel V and their stupidity, or Neha Dhupia and her dumbness (okay, she looks good), check out the launch party.
