Kapil Sharma and his team are back on Netflix with a new comedy show that is titled The Great Indian Kapil Show. Before arriving on Netflix, the comedian, along with his team and judge Archana Puran Singh, presented a series on Sony TV called The Kapil Sharma Show.

During one of her interviews, the actress once recalled how she is never bothered by memes around her laughter, but the laughter definitely affected her mental health once since she was dealing with trauma.

Archana’s laughter is as huge as her paychecks, undoubtedly, since the actress gets paid 10 lakh per episode for playing a special guest on the comedy show. She is often judged for doing nothing and earning crores from the show.

However, during one of her interviews with the Indian Express, the actress recalled how she had to laugh and shoot even after she was informed of her mother-in-law’s demise. When Archana was informed about the passing away of her mother-in-law, she was on sets of Comedy Circus, shooting.

Leaving the show in between would have meant disruption and wastage of everyone’s time and money. So the director asked Archana Puran Singh to shoot for some snippets and general comments before she left for her home to be by her family’s side.

The actress once narrated, “The production house asked me to give the reactions and go. The reactions were laughter, and I gave general comments. I still can’t forget that I was sitting there laughing and laughing, and I was blank in the head. All I could think of was seeing my mother-in-law’s face. It was a traumatic time.”

Archana Puran Singh is currently a part of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. She started her career as an actress in films and has an elaborate body of work ranging from playing vamps to judging comedy shows on TV.

The actress is married to actor-director Parmeet Sethi. In one of the other interviews, she even confessed that it is not easy to sit and react to every joke that is cracked on the show.
