Salman, Hrithik to clash

Salman, Hrithik to clash

Salman Khan’s ‘Ready’ will clash with his one time love Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ when both the movies hit theaters. Though it was known that ‘Ready’ is going to complete soon but nobody imagined that ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ would also release simultaneously on May 27, 2011. Anyway, the two movies belong to two different genres, so the audiences’ interests won’t collide, hopefully. While ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ is a fun, youthful film with Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin, ‘Ready’ is a family entertainer with Asin as Salman’s co-star. In the same way, while Akhtars’ ‘zindagi…’ will hit multiplexes as it’s urban-oriented, ‘Ready’ is largely meant for masses, and will be exhibited on single screens.

Significantly, the issue isn’t between Salman and Katrina. In fact, it concerns Salman and Hrithik! You may recall Salman’s recent taunt that "not even a dog went to see ‘Guzaarish’. And, ‘Guzaarish’ is Salman starrer. After the debacles of ‘Kites’ and ‘Guzaarish’, Hrithik must have been looking forward to a solo release but unfortunately he is now up against ‘Dabangg’ Salman. Interestingly, neither Sallu’s director Anees Bazmee nor Hrithik’s director Zoya Akhtar has come out in the open.

Isn’t it strange that the onetime love words will soon clash at the box office?

Salman Khan Starrer ‘Ready’ To Release May 27

Salman Khan on 'Ready'

The release date of Salman Khan’s action comedy ‘Ready’ has been decided — it will hit the screens May 27 next year.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film brings Salman and Asin Thottumkal together after box office dud ‘London Dreams’.

‘The schedule of ‘Ready’ is moving smoothly and it’s been great fun working with Salman. We share a great friendship and a fantastic working equation. It’s overwhelming to see his commitment towards the movie,’ producer Bhushan Kumar of T-series said in a statement.

‘He is a thorough professional and is always there with interesting inputs wherever need be…, he is like family.’

‘Ready’ also reunites Kumar with Salman after ‘Lucky – No Time For Love’ and the producer promises that the film will be a complete entertainer with a mix of action and comedy.

‘I was always looking for a script which has everything and I found that in ‘Ready’. The film has lots of humour, there are two-three action sequences which Salman fans will love, there are a lot of dramatic sequences, and we also have good scope for music. In short, it’s a total masala entertainer with proper story and screenplay,’ Kumar said.

Hrithik Roshan Slams Salman Khan

Friday Dec 3, 2010

Sal_Hrithik

Hrithik Roshan reacted to Salman Khan’s unpleasant comment about the filmGuzaarish’ and the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Salman Khan has made a spiteful comment regarding the film saying, it wasn’t even watched by dogs- “koi kutta bhi nahin gaya”. Hrithik slammed the actor for making such a raunchy remark.

The actor in reply said Salman, “It’s not heroic to laugh or make fun of a filmmaker just because his BO collections are not up there with yours. ‘Guzaarish’ is a super success in its own way. In my opinion a hero never gloats. When you are super successful, it should in fact make you more gracious and loving.”
Hrithik added that he would not tolerate any person talking bad about Bhansali.
Bhansali too spoken against Salman saying, “If such an old and trusted friend can be so insensitive I don’t want anything to do with the entertainment industry.”
But Hrithik possesses a great heart and at the next moment he forgave Sallu, he said, “This is the time one should use to turn even enemies into friends…just give love, not laugh at others. By the time I finish this sentence, I have already forgiven his words, because I know deep inside he only has love for me and this must have been just a momentary lapse of judgment. Will expect a big hug the next time I meet him”.

Sanjay Host The Next Season Of Dus Ka Dum

Saturday Nov 13, 2010

It seems that the next season of Dus Ka Dum will not feature Salman Khan as the host. In fact, the original host has been replaced by Sanjay Dutt after the Sony Television was unable to come to an amicable deal with Salman. And this will bring Sanjay to the small screen for the first time. All the finer details are yet to be worked out but according to sources, it was the Bachchans who convinced Dutt to seriously consider the offer. After carefully looking at Amitabh Bachchan’s television stint thus far, he realized this would be a great opportunity for him to venture out.
After negotiations with Salman Khan fell through with the channel stating "irreconcilable financial differences," the Sony TV quickly found themselves looking for viable host choices. Up for consideration included Anil Kapoor too. "We’ve also been in very serious discussions with Anil Kapoor. Neither Sanjay Dutt nor Anil has done television before. That’s what places them above Salman Khan in our list of hosts," a source from the channel stated. In fact Anil was the first choice but had to forego the show since the actor would be shooting for Mission Impossible 4. And thus, Sanjay Dutt was finalized.
Dutt and the channel have chosen to remain hush on the amount per episode he would make. Instead they went on to say, "We’re just happy to have him on board. At any cost."

Bollywood Beauties Wear Salman’s Label On The Ramp

Monday Oct 11, 2010

It was a sight to behold. Salman Khan walking down the ramp flanked by all of Bollywood’s top leading ladies. A spectacle that could just top Karan Johar’s feat of getting  Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Hrithik Roshan to dance together on the same stage. The show was designed to span

the decades, starting with the 1920s, and was opened by Preity Zinta in a black halter dress and wide-brimmed hat, playing coy with a pink feather in her hand. Dressed in a maroon floor-length velvet gown, and looking fitter than ever, was Katrina Kaif, putting those break-up rumours to rest.

Salman Will Back On Twitter

Friday Sep 17, 2010

salman_Khan

After Salman Khan’s rather disastrous time post his 26/11 centric imbroglio and the political whipping thereafter, the actor had tweeted that he was planning to quit the micro blogging site.

Hordes of fans, close pals and family folks, however, have advised him to the contrary. His mailbox has been crammed with messages from Khan’s abiding admirers advising him not to quit Twitter.

States a source close to Khan, "Salman will not stop tweeting, nor will he delete his account, because that will mean rolling a red carpet for the imposters. He has taken a break from tweeting. Salman has been very upset and in a very foul mood since the past few days ever since this controversy erupted. We’ve made him realise that Twitter is a great way to stay connected with his fans. Once matters are settled, Salman will get back to tweeting, but he won’t be tweeting so regularly like before. As of now, he is not tweeting at the moment. He was so upset that he could not enjoy the success of his latest film ‘Dabangg’."

Incidentally, Imran Khan and Sonu Niigaam too had threatened to quit Twitter, though neither of them has deleted their account.
