Just two films old, Anushka Sharma is well eyeing for a hat trick after the success of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Badmaash Company. With Band Baaja Baaraat being her next release, Anushka is happy that her third straight movie with Yash Raj Films has managed to create good buzz in the shortest time possible.

"The theatrical promo got a very good response and now the songs have started coming in as well," she perks up here,"With the kind of reactions that have started coming in for my celebration song with Ranveer (Singh), Ainvayi Ainvayi, I am becoming far more confident with every passing day that we are doing our job well in creating curiosity amongst the audience. We should be able to bring them into theaters now."

However, the fact still remains that Ranveer, the leading man in this Maneesh Sharma directed film, has just started off in Bollywood and still needs to make his presence felt. Anushka understands the challenges that a new jodi brings with it, especially with a debutant actor pairing up with a heroine who is just two films old. All of this means that an added push is required to register an impression amongst the audience.

Yash Raj Films is launching newcomer Ranveer Singh opposite “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” actress Anushka Sharma in their next project.
The film will be directed by Maneesh Sharma, who worked as an assistant director on Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”. The untitled venture will be produced by Aditya Chopra.

The shooting has started and it is scheduled for a release later this year.

The story revolves around Shruti (Anushka Sharma) and Bittoo (Ranveer Singh) who start a business after passing out from Delhi University. Their friendship and business enters lavish world of Delhi’s baaraats and weddings.

When Anushka Sharma came into the world of films, it was the Yash Raj banner who took her in and gave her first film which also went on to become a hit, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. However, she also had to sign an exclusive three-film contract with YRF which bars her from working with any outside production house. This has put poor Anushka Sharma in quite a frenzy and the actress is now getting extremely restless as she wants to take on more work.
As of now, the actress is working alongside Shahid Kapoor in Parmeet Sethi’s next feature with Yash Raj in Hyderabad. However, she has made it extremely clear to the director that she wants to finish up shooting for the film as soon as possible and then sign on her last film with Yash Raj so she can finally sign a film outside the banner. The films location will soon move to the U.S. without a break which works for both Anushka and director, Parmeet.
Rumor has it that many directors have shown an interest in Anushka but due to her contract constraints, she is unable to take any projects further. Her spokesperson went on to clarify, "Anushka is happy with her Yashraj contract. She is free to do films outside the banner. She dislikes talking about projects that are in the pipeline and will talk about them when they hit the floor." Amidst all this, the grapevines claim that Anushka is dating co-star Shahid Kapoor which they both have yet to confirm.

Also present were Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Ashutosh Gowariker, Ramesh and Kiran Sippy, and Ila and Ishita Arun among others. She can not star in any other films. Ever since that announcement everyone’s been buzzing about what her next film would be, well the wait is over! It’s been revealed that Anushka will star opposite Shahid Kapur in her next Yash Raj Film.  This will be both Anushka and Shahid’s second film for the banner.  Shahid is also starring in the forthcoming film, ‘Hadippa’ with Rani Mukherji.

Parmeet Sethi, who started in Yash Raj films as an actor in the movie "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" and did small roles in other Bollywood films before going into TV soaps will be debuting as a director for Anushka’s next film.

Anushka Sharma who has not much work or experience behind her, gets to sit in the judge’s chair for Shahrukh Khan’s reality show ‘Kinghts and Angels’ to finalize six feisty cheerleaders for the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders which fared rather badly last season.

The show will have contestants from different cities vying to make it to the final six and they would be judged on the basis of their dancing skills, attitude, personality, energy, style and looks.

The buzz is that Anushka will be the judge on the first of the six episodes of the show to be telecast every Saturday. They are saying that Anushka’s been a model and has some fame; hence her opinion is important before the IPL season kicks off in April.

Shahrukh Khan’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi co-partner Anushka Sharma will be donning the judge hat for the upcoming reality show, Knights and Angels to be hosted by VJ turned actor Purab Kohli. As the new innings of IPL is round the corner, SRK is gearing up for the new series and all set to choose a team of six to cheer up his team up to the victory. Anushka with other judges like ace choreographer Shiamak Davar and cricketer Sourav Ganguly will judge the 6 finalists on the basis of their energy, style, chutzpah, poise, personality, attitude, grace, rhythm, and fire. First time Anushka is judging any show and it is expected that she will grace the show with her vibrant smile and positive attitude. Speaking at the launch Sourav Ganguly said, “I have never been a judge before. It’s equally exciting and nerve-wracking for me and I’m really looking forward to a whole new experience. Shahrukh and Juhi have promised to guide me and I assure my Knights that we will find those ‘Angels’ that will cheer us to victory.” The competition will be among 24 girls that have been short-listed after an extensive audition conducted across different cities in India.

Where is Anushka Sharma? Even after the release of her debut movie Rab Ne Banadi Jodi, she is nowhere to be seen. It seems that Aditya Chopra brought her from Mars, shot in a secret underground studio, and then left her from where she was brought from.One look at various Bollywood websites and forums, you know how badly Anushka’s fans want to see her give an interview.
We know that Yash Raj has this habit of keeping everything secret like movie title, story and sometimes even the actors… but in the case of Rab Ne Banadi Jodi, everything was announced even before they started shooting.
